You watched them both right? Alright cool.

If you're an NBA fan then you already know that Damian Lillard is the star point guard for the Portland Trail Blazers. If you haven't been keeping up on social media, the first video was shared all over facebook and instagram. Dame isn't the first NBA, or rather, professional athlete to try and break into the music industry nor will he be the last, but my honest opinion he's probably one of the better ones to do it (Allen Iverson and Shaq had some ill bars). Dame has stated that he's not out there trying to battle other MCs, I think he should and I think he'd body some of your favorite rappers.

Damian Lillard's second album "Confirmed" dropped on October 6th, 2017, the same day as his Adidas signature shoe, "Dame 4", released. This second album takes on a different tone than the first album, where the first album is Dame speaking on his upbringing in Oakland to life in the nba and now this second album where he's showcasing more of his style as a rapper. So what's the big deal? Confirmed appeals to a broader range of listeners with tracks featuring Lil Wayne, 2 chainz, and tracks produced by Scott Storch just to name a few. Look, I LOVE MY 90s - early 2000s hip hop, many hip hop heads my age do and if you are just like me do yourself a favor and Listen with an open mind. Don't let that deter you away from the fact that Damian Lillard is a good MC, theres literally video proof in the beginning of this post. With that said, this album has been on heavy rotation since it dropped, and I can say that my favorite tracks are "shoota" and "run it up". Take a listen and hear for yourself.

Dame 4 "Rip City"

When photos of the Dame 4s leaked my first thoughts were "damn, they look aggressive". I've said in the past that I love what adidas is doing with Dame's line, does he need "Boost" to sell his shoes? I don't think so, if anything I love the bounce cushion thats been featured in his line since the Lillard 2s. Dame 4s bring a combination of the Lillard 2 and Dame 3 with it's fit and cushion. True to size, neoprene booty, mesh and tpu strands for structure on the upper, bounce cushion midsole that sits lower than the 2 and less bounce in the heel than the 3, multi directional outsole that caused no problems playing on a dusty court. Another thing that I love about the shoe is it could be a lifestyle shoe, especially with the "legacy" color way (off white upper, gum outsole), so ill probably be adding 1 or 2 more dame 4s. I'm not gonna sit here and say you need these, but if you've been disappointed with other brands then maybe try these out.
