In hip hop we like to say "keep it real", but what does that even mean? It means to be authentic to strangers, your friends, family, and most importantly yourself. If it doesn't feel natural, it ain't real, if it feels forced, it ain't real, if you're not having fun doing it, it ain't real and it ain't for you. This song lyric is something I took and ran with, to be happy as a person and the only one that can change me is me. Self love and self care is vital to growth and development, listening to others about how you should be or who you should be hinders individual growth. Love the way you are and don't let anyone change the way you are. You can't please everyone.
